Cannabiz marketing continues to normalize

Marketing Brew served up two more stories in its series about cannabiz branding. 

In a piece on infused beverages, a BellRock Brands exec says they hit “a very unique audience, separate from other things you might find in a dispensary.” 

  • Sales surged last year by 40%, but drinks still only represent about 1% of the cannabis market.
  • Trendy Cann is the top brand in California, with almost a quarter market share.

The second piece explores how LA’s only dispensary owned by a Black woman uses OOH (out of home) marketing to get around restrictions.

  • Among other things, Gorilla Rx commissioned a mural in Crenshaw that says, “Black women get us higher.”
