Calif. retail groups push back on farmers’ market bill
Trade groups representing retailers are fighting a bill that would allow some smaller cultivators to sell directly to consumers at farmers’ markets. The conflict between the two ends of the supply chain shows the zero-sum nature of survival California operators feel as observers warn the market is on the brink of collapse.

Separately: Catalyst Cannabis is spearheading a push to block the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) from what the retailer characterizes as an overreaching “excise tax grab.”
