Kiva Brands is seeking a Strategic Finance Director to accelerate the company's objectives. We are seeking a professional who will primarily support Kiva's financial team's transformation, corporate development activity, and investor relations. The Strategic Finance role will be a key business partner to executive leadership and will engage with the most senior levels of Kiva. The ideal candidate enjoys investigating uncharted problems, works optimally across teams and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This role will craft and lead Kiva’s strategy, critical initiatives, support M&A due diligence and develop pitch decks, direct investor/lender relations, generate fundraising pitch decks, conduct capital market analysis, and provide business insights and analytics. The role is also responsible for identifying and driving improvements to functional processes, including data capture and reporting.
You will
- Champion transformation and improvement strategies that support the organization’s objectives and drive success metrics (e.g. efficiency, utilization, margin, share)
- Collaborate with business partners and senior leadership to identify operational and strategic issues. Spread financial accountability throughout the organization
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to build detailed cases to evaluate and support decision making through return on investment analysis
- Lead M&A analysis and due diligence including financial modeling, valuation and sensitivity analysis
- Craft executive level presentations for the Board of Directors, Executive Team and external Investors
- Lead investor and lender relations
- Design, automate and optimize processes and systems to scale
You have
- 8+ years of financial experience, including some years in VC/PE, investment banking or management consulting AND proven experience within a corporate Finance department of a large company preferably Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) background.
- Outstanding excel/financial modeling skills including M&A, capital markets and valuation experience
- Ability to take abstract concepts and complex financial analysis, distill the “noise” to salient takeaways, and communicate (verbal, written and presentation) in a non-technical way.
- Exceptional relationship building skills to encourage trust across the organization. Provide impactful mentorship across the company: from cross-functional partners to junior team members
- Strong financial savvy and intuitive ability to understand business objectives, define and implement analytical approaches or business frameworks, draw conclusions from data and recommend actions
- Ability to have an immediate impact, work with autonomy, balance multiple, diverse priorities, handle uncertainty, and produce high quality results.
- Required: Strong understanding of financial documents (emphasis on cash & working capital) for both review and modeling purposes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field required. MBA preferred
