JOB SUMMARY

As a Product Manager  - Financial Systems in Finance and Accounting you will be responsible for liaising between IT and the Finance and Accounting organization to:

  • Be the voice of stakeholders, representing their needs of the IT applications that support business functions.
  • Establishing system requirements to support policies and SOPs, ensuring aligned strategic oversight of the Finance and Accounting IT applications, and actively monitoring maturing Cresco processes for compliance with SOX and GAAP.
  • Actively participating in product planning through visioning, road mapping, release planning, and approving product completeness.

Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of multi-platform technical environments as well as the ability to straddle the business & technology paradigm.  Yours is a blended role of business, finance, technology, and project management to drive system improvements and maturity.

CORE JOB DUTIES 

  • Ability to translate, validate, and communicate financial acumen into technical software solutions and enterprise architecture.
  • Ability to develop and streamline financial processes and applications.
  • With input from Finance and Accounting business users, contribute to the vision of the roadmaps for multiple internal applications and lead in backlog refinement and release planning preparation.
  • Contribute to a cross-functional team by gathering business requirements and breaking them down into user stories for IT developers and QA to consume and implement.
  • Prepare supporting artifacts such as process flow diagrams, wireframes, and report mockups.
  • Perform triage, troubleshooting, and analysis of bottleneck issues to determine a resolution and translate into actionable items.
  • Support QA and UAT validation as needed to ensure the end solution meets the acceptance criteria, and fits into the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Perform application feature demos as needed.
  • Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the program lifecycle, refine details and work efficiently to remove roadblocks, as needed.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude to quickly learn business processes.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop strong relationships with key business and IT resources.
  • Prepare training plans, release notes, announcements, and other internal job aids to facilitate successful adoption of new features and functionality or obsolescence and removal of duplication. (Work with the Finance & Accounting function to remove obsolescence and duplication.)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS  

  • Degree(s) in technology related fields and Finance and Accounting (finding the blend between the disciplines – understand value of core/clean data). Masters level preferred.
  • PMP, TOGAF, or ITIL Certification(s) a plus.
  • 7 years’ experience working with financial systems and enterprise architecture with at least 2 years in a scrum/agile environment
  • 2 years of experience - strong leadership and PM skills, to organize, and orchestrate change in a start-up culture.
  • Professional Judgment - makes logical, rational, and integrative decisions, and arrives at sound conclusions. Chooses the best alternative(s) based on a review of pros, cons, tradeoffs, timing, and probabilities. Evaluates the consequences and implications of alternatives, actions, or decisions.
  • Makes timely decisions, balancing analysis with decisiveness.
  • Hands-on experience in gathering business requirements, often nebulous, and breaking down into consumable use cases.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize needs of the program.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction while being proactive and keeping leadership informed of project statuses and related issues.
  • Excelled skills with meeting facilitation, relationship management, leadership, critical thinking, technical writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with all levels of the business, vendors, and all levels of cross-functional teams and management in a highly dynamic and demanding work environment.
  • Self-motivated willingness to learn and self-teach.
  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills; ability to determine trends and propose solutions.
  • Proven problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the estimated range of compensation is  $110,000 - $130,000 + bonus eligible. Final offer details are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience and other relevant factors.
